Sign-in Help

If you’re getting an error when you sign in, it may be because:

• You aren’t using the email address we have on file. Look up your member number to use that instead.
• You are using an incorrect password. Reset your password.
• You are using an incorrect member number. Look up your member number.

If you have two accounts and used the same email address for both:

We had to make some changes when we combined our loyalty programs into a single site and app.

To simplify the sign-in process, we removed the email address from the least active of your two accounts, so you won’t be able to use it to sign in. If you do, you’ll get a sign-in error. If you used the same password for both accounts, you’ll be signed in to the more active account.

You can look up your member number for both of your accounts and use your member number to sign in. And don’t worry, your points, Elite night balances, and other account activity were not affected.

Once you sign in, we recommend you combine your accounts to make the process easier in the future.

I got an email saying that I have to change the email address from one of my accounts.
Members will not be able to use the same email address on more than one account after our new loyalty program, and our unified website and app, are launched. If you used the same email address on two accounts, the email associated with the least active account was removed. You can still access the least active account using your member number, and you can look it up if you don’t have it handy. Once you sign in, we recommend you combine your accounts to make signing in easier.
What does “least active account” mean? Which account was my email address removed from?
Activity level is based on lifetime points balance, Elite status and online account activation. For example, if your Marriott Rewards account has zero lifetime points, and your SPG account has more than zero, the email address will be removed from the Marriott Rewards account. You should have received an email with details about the email address being removed from your least active account. Check your spam filter if you haven’t received it.
If I had the same email address on two accounts, will one account be deleted? Will I lose my profile, nights or status?
No accounts will be deleted. Members will always be able to access an account with a member number and password, even if the email address has been removed. Account balances, Elite night credits and any activity in the account will not be affected.
Is there any benefit to maintaining two separate accounts?
No, there is no member benefit to maintaining separate accounts. By combining accounts, you’ll consolidate points, Elite nights and years—and earn status and benefits faster. And, you’ll only need to remember one set of sign-in credentials.
When is the latest I can combine my Rewards and SPG accounts?
You can combine your accounts anytime, but when our new loyalty program is launched, the ability to combine your accounts online will no longer be available. You can request to combine your accounts anytime. Simply fill out our online form and we’ll take care of everything.
What happens if I never combine my Rewards and SPG accounts?
If you do not combine your accounts, you will continue to have two separate accounts. To receive email for both accounts, you must have different email addresses on each account’s profile.
